What a song. In past some days, Irfan has given us some real melodies in combination with new age music directors.

The Songs which has sung in 2013 has been really a treat to ears.

And in 2014 his new songs from Citylights: Reprise of Muskurane ki Wajah (http://gaana.com/album/citylights-original-motion-picture-soundtrack), and Yaariyan song which created ripples in many hearts!

His top hits include:
- Phir Mohobbat from Murder 2
- Sun Soniye from Ajab Gajab Love

Well, his voice is not as unique as Arijit or KK or Mohit to be recognised very easily, but he is just 29 and will be a singer to watch out for!

I hardly could remember him from "Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar 2" he won that reality talent show in 2011-12.

A movie you should not miss.

Well its not as good as Taare zameen Pe(TZP) but its in the same league.

Before I write any further let me just suggest you one thing. Carry along all the kids you care about. Not just to give them a great movie and a bit of motivation to pursue their dream but also, in this extra- insensitive generation, they will start caring a little for everything they do. And may be, they will become a little empathetic for people they see around them.

The movie ia about a young guy from the villages of maharashtra. Losing his father and coming to mumbai to earn with his mother and family.
A tea stall boy and the group of 4 kids who work all day for living. The movie is about a dream to be a skater! It wasn't about winning, its about  the passion.

The movie has some great direction of Amol Gupte and the little known child actors have done a great job too.The lead child actor- Partho Gupte is really good, and Saqib Saleem too have acted well (Though just could not match the skills of Amir in the Mobvie- TZP).

After TZP, Darsheel was the sweetheart of the nation, Partho is surely the best child actor post TZP and Stanley ka Dabba!

The movie is certainly a great watch but missed the songs and backgroung music of Shankar Ehsaan Loy type charisma.

However, the movie is a mix of moments of brilliance but the last 15 minutes of the movie will stir your sould for sure. Watch out for that!

Go and watch this one in theatres and drag a few kids along.

Going with 3.75 stars.

CANDID REVIEWS: ARIJIT SINGH: The ROCKSTAR WHO RULES INDIAN HEARTS

ARIJIT SINGH: 
The Journey from Fame Gurukul(2005) to 2014

Arijit, now we can well say, that Bengal has produced one more soulful voice. Kishore, Abhijeet, Sanu, Shaan, Arijit will soon be in that same list.

The moment your listen to him, or see him singing in any of the Youtube videos one thing you will strike you invariably almost everytime- the honesty in his voice. That’s my only adjective for him is- SOULFUL.

A little known singer, two years back has stormed into everyone’s heart in 2013 with the track- Tum hi Ho. And after a long long time, one singer has literally sung the whole album (apart from – Ro Rha hu main, almost all songs had Arijit written all over the song’s soul).

And he is ready to steal your hearts with the new tracks from the movies Citylights.The song- Muskurane ki wajah, is lyrically strong and with a soulful composition by Jeet Ganguly, and off course amazingly sung by Arijit.  Soney Do is one more soul stirring song from the same Movie!

The song which made him the star he is indeed the Mithoon Composed song of Ashiqui 2- Tum Hi Ho. But before that he has already sung some of the lovely tracks which became even more famous after this Bengal lad came to limelight with his soulful voice.

Little known that he started his journey from Fame Gurukul where he was eliminated long before people could notice. But he became the assistant of Pritam. And he did sing for a few Bengali Serial title tracks.

The major break came from Mithoon composed – Murder 2 song, Phir Mohobbat karne chala he dil in 2011; and then again in Barfi- The reprise of – Sawali Si Raat composed by Pritam made him eligible for a few Award nominations too.

Dua was one more song from the movie Shanghai which made a few people move to tears. Raabta the song composed by Pritam was one of the most listened romantic number from 2012-13. Raabta has very little music and it was refreshing to listen to voice which was given so much importance in that song!

2013 gave some real biggies to this star, whether the Song- Kabira composed by- Pritam again.

Now he is the favourite for all music Directors but the charts still show his best numbers coming from Mithoon, Pritam and Jeet Ganguly.

A few recent songs which rocked the Indian listener souls and moved them to tears in lonely moments were:
- Mann Mast Magan from 2 States
- Kabhi jo badal barse from Sharib and Toshi composed ; Movie- jackpot
- Suno na Sangmarmar from Youngistaan, composed by Jeet Ganguly
- Tose Naina from Mickey Virus
- Aye Dil Bata from Ishq Actually
- Laal Ishq from Ram Leela
- JIya from Gunday and list will go on…

Arijit did sing some dance numbers too:
- Shanivaar Raati and Palat- from Tera Hero Idhar he
- Dhokha Dhadi from R… Rajkumar

So listen to this guy in a loop, with earphones plugged in, when you are alone. May be you will fall in love again or may be listening to these songs, someone may just remember you a little more with a small tear in their eyes.
