EK VILLAIN- Review
SLOW- BORING- PATHETIC ACTING
Frankly i didn't expect much from the movie when I entered the theatre this morning!
Songs are already topping the chart-busters and almost everyone's favorite! The movie has to be terribly bad to make this a flop!
And guess what- The movie is superbly disappointing!
Something about Mohit Suri directed ventures! Both recent movies has been musicals. Shraddha has been common in both Flicks who has not done justice to both movies with her acting skills at least! Aditya acted better for sure.
Ashiqui 2 was liked by a lot of girls. Aditya Roy Kapoor looked cute and the songs satisfied you till the gut- may be these were the reasons!
Going by the same reasons- Ek Villain should do good as Siddharth looks better than Aditya! But this didnt work out.
The Movie is boring- ultra slow and the dilog delivery of Siddharth and Shraddha is terrible. Ritesh has brought a little sanity in the movie with his Insane Villaineous role but could not do much to save the movie.
The first half will make you feel you should leave the movie. Second half is a little better but still remains a forgettable Experience.
The Songs are all over the place and wont really make you feel even half what you felt when you listen to it in your living room.
The Bad acting of Siddharth is so evident in one of the scene when he beats up 10 gang members to reach the Boss. The action seemed so fake that you will wonder, is this 2014 cinema or 1984?
Story Line:
A Dying Shraddha Kapoor- Aisha plans to fulfill as many wishes as she can before she dies. She met a Gangster and straightaway felt, her next wish is to save this young Villain- Guru from Dark world of Killings etc.
Two fell in love and get married. Ritesh acts as a Psycho Killer kills her and its a story of finding out Who killed Aisha, and when Guru finds him, he plans to torture him before Ritesh dies.
Story is pathetic and so is direction! I wish the lovely soulful voices in the movie of Arijit, Irfan and Ankit could have got a better screen space! The ill placed songs took the essence away from the movie too!
Anyway- The Movie isnt worth watching!
Going with 1 Stars! 1 for Ritesh and Other Half Star for Songs!
